![]() We found our room had been left *unlocked* on TWO occasions, presumably by the hotel staff! (We were NOT impressed)!! 6. They couldn't (or wouldn't) print a file from a USB and told us instead to send to them via email(!!) - but their wi-fi was unreliable and intermittent! -( And perhaps the worst: 5. They couldn't (or wouldn't) give me any hotel letterhead writing paper so I could write a business letter (!!) - they said that it was against their hotel policy(!!). Reception could not show me where to locate the hotel on a map in my Lonely Planets guide - AND whatsmore, when I asked for a tourist map (their hotel facilities said they had them) I was told, "Sorry, we have no maps" THEN "Oh yes, we can find one - it will cost you $11"!!!! (I then walked into old city centre tourism office and got one for FREE! 3. Manager expressed his frustration with me when I needed help with the room security box. Alas! this meant that I could not recommend this place to stay. Barbie™ Ultimate Staycation by Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpurīyblos is the most fascinating place to explore and the people there are very friendly! However, we found the Reception staff at this hotel to be anything but professional.Hotels near Armenian Genocide Orphans' "Aram Bezikian" Museum.Hotels near Antoine Saliba World of Jewelry. The service was easily charged on our hotel tab and was very reasonably priced. On a personal note- we had a wedding to attend during our stay and the owner, Raymond, personally arranged for a car service for us (to and from). Breakfast is included and consists of traditional Lebanese starters. There is no fitness center, restaurant, or pool. There is free parking underneath the hotel (warning: driving in Lebanon can be pretty hair raising). See the picture attached of our room- #502 with balcony and a sea view. You should not agree to leave your passport in the hands of anyone. We completely refused and they held on to copies. WARNING: They wanted to hold on to our passports dring our stay. DO NOT try and walk across the roundabout. Make a right out of the hotel and make a left over the overpath to get into the center of town. As I believe other reviews noted, it could be a hairy walk- drivers in Lebanon are not very pedestrain friendly. The hotel is not in the center of Byblos or by the ruins, but it is about a 10 minute walk. We stayed at the Canari de Byblos (pronounced can-a-ree de bee-blose) for three nights (August 12-14). We also blamed the power cut but later we discovered that all the country suffers from this problem due to the war. it was really the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The first day the food was Hommas (mashed chickpeas), green salad with fatuuch (fried bread) and rice with chicked. After many arguments with the receptionist and the director (he did many things at the same time: he was the director, the waiter and working the the front office dealing with the customers complaints) Another terrible thing that I saw only in that hotel is the food. The secretary was really unfriendly, she was always nervous. whenever we call for someting, the service is done after hours. you can see the hair of the old customer on the pillow :( it was really disgusting so we called the secretary who was usually angry and impatient (but good looking) to send a cleaner. We oppened the door, me and my husband, the room was clean, the bed (actually 2 single beds stuck) was tidy but you can see the surprise when you remove the cover of the bed to sleep. The waiting hours ended when they gave us the keys. they did the registration of all the group without checking their availabilities, this is what we understood from their whispers. The number of clients is more than the number of the rooms. the staff was troubled going up and down the stairs. Dos atracciones turísticas populares que se encuentran cerca son Zoco viejo de Biblos y Castillo de Biblos. Entre otras cosas, cuenta con wifi gratis, aparcamiento gratuito y servicio de habitaciones las 24 horas. The first day we arrived, me and the rest of the group, we waited for about an hour or more to have our keys (although they knew the time of our arrival). Quédate en este hotel de 3,5 estrellas en la montaña de Biblos. ![]()
